We run the largest refinery for edible oils and fats in the UK at our freshly refurbished plant at King George Dock. We provide services to companies in the food production, baking, food service, and retail industries, and we closely collaborate with clients to co-create specialized products.
Your Role
The evaluation of AAK and other ingredient producers in completed product samples will fall under the purview of this position. To contribute to research to enhance, create new products, components, equipment, systems, and processes, and follow and establish methods and rules. Additionally, new substances and consumer trends are assessed. The Customer Innovation Manager will be the immediate subordinate of this role, which is Monday through Friday.
Your Responsibilities
- Follow a predetermined research plan when conducting routine analysis, experimentation, and investigational activity.
- Create easy technical reports with conclusions and recommendations after recording outcomes.
- Conduct systematic testing and evaluation of raw materials and ingredients to determine their suitability for certain applications pertinent to different industries and clients. include bakery, dairy, confectionery, and plant-based items.
- Preparing client samples, reviewing client recipes, and troubleshooting.
- Preparing application examples for shows and customer meetings

- Degree qualified
- Culinary background in food manufacture
- Enthusiasm for cooking and innovation
- Practical technical aptitude and dexterity
- Independence in one's work
- Knowledge about the analyses used in the specific industry for measuring relevant quality parameters of oils and fats. Mainly physical, functional, and sensory analysis but could also be chemical
