JOB SUMMARY:

The administration of Elevanta's distinctive
 self-funded employee benefits scheme falls under the purview of the
 HR/Benefits Specialist. This position manages our complicated
 program while working in a team-oriented environment in our
 benefit service center. The HR/Benefits Manager interacts often
 with employer groups taking part in the program and required to
 have a good understanding of both government rules and employee
 benefits programs.


JOB ROLES:

  • Changes are benefited by processes on a daily basis.

  • Organizes for program enrolment

  • Takes care of COBRA administration
  • Identifies and suggests modifications to policies and practices
  • Establishing new groups
  • Transfers data with an ASO provider
  • Deals with claim disputes with the ASO provider
  • Ensures that enrollment changes and qualifying events are processed correctly by creating and sending invoices to all franchisee members.
  • Look at members' monthly billing inconsistencies.
  • Verifies the maintenance of statistical data about premiums, claims, and expenditures and the calculation of the monthly premium statement for all group insurance plans.
  • Supervises the creation of the yearly 5500 filings

  • Taking calls, keeping in touch with franchisee members directly, and resolving concerns
  • Difficulty with the airline representatives resolving administrative issues
  • Working with the HRIS provider to put yearly plan modifications into effect
  • Keeps records of past events, data, correspondence, reports, and forms.
  • Oversees record-keeping and retrieval procedures in accordance with legal requirements

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Department of Labor, COBRA, and Affordable Care Act laws that may have an impact on the program and/or its members.



Qualifications:
  • A four-year degree in human resources or a closely related field

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar field

  • CEBS qualification or comparable job history
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience using PC-based computer systems.
  • Excellent people skills
  • Having a thorough understanding of corporate and departmental policies and guidelines
  • There aren't many, if any, travel obligations for this profession.
