What role you will be playing


The Guest Relations Team Lead will collaborate closely with the Guest Relations Manager in order to oversee a group of six Guest Relations Consultants who are spread out across Australia and the UK and who interact with our guests during all phases of the customer journey via phone calls, emails, and live chat. Your strong coaching and communication skills will stand out in this role as the initial point of contact for our guests and an internal point of escalation for our worldwide staff of Guest Relation Consultants by providing superior service from inquiry through check-out.

Although this position is largely based in our Sydney office, we do provide a flexible hybrid work environment that allows for some of the work to be done remotely after thorough training. The ideal applicant will have prior experience working directly with customers, be a customer service rock star in a related field, and have a passion for consistently providing guests with a unique, personalized experience. A few qualities will help you succeed in this position, including enthusiasm and a positive outlook, a love of startups and the ability to think quickly on your feet, a sincere commitment to providing excellent customer service, and the capacity to make decisions on your own regarding guest requests and problems when the Guest Relations Manager is not present.

The Responsibilities you will undertake

  • Leading and coaching a diverse team of guest relations consultants to provide a superior experience that astounds and pleases our visitors
  • Serving as a point of contact for visitors by phone, live chat, and email during check-in and throughout their stay while assisting the team

  • Monitoring team performance, ensuring the consistency of calls and messages, and giving your team timely feedback
  • Helping the guest relations manager make sure that everyone exceeds their KPIs, both collectively and individually
  • Putting into practice our basic principles of development, curiosity, authenticity, responsibility, and balance wherever possible.
  • Putting in place guest-centric ways for gathering feedback and making them visible across the organization for prompt action
  • Coordinating with the operations and housekeeping teams on any internal problems or requests while constantly updating the visitor
  • Other parts of the guest experience (operations, housekeeping, and guest relations), as necessary

What must qualify you?

  • Proven job history in a position interacting with customers
  • A dynamic, passionate leader who embodies our key principles of growth, curiosity, authenticity, responsibility, and balance
  • Highly proficient with computers and driven to use cutting-edge technology

  • Someone who is open to change and willing to challenge the status quo in order to benefit their team and the organization
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking

  • The readiness to occasionally work ad-hoc shift patterns in different places in accordance with business objectives as we scale quickly
  • Prior knowledge of the Google Suite
  • English proficiency is required
