We are looking to hire a Lead Toxicologist to join our seasoned and expanding team at Labcorp, a global contract research organization with a specialty section specializing in chemical and crop protection (CPC) investigations.

 

This is a fantastic chance to be the subject matter expert on a dynamic team and engage with international clients to give scientific, technical, and regulatory assistance.

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive practical expertise in toxicology and be able to provide testing strategy recommendations for acute toxicity, chronic & sub-chronic endpoints for mammalian systems, as well as reproductive, genetic, and inhalation toxicology.


They will support our expanding in silico testing company and ongoing involvement in cutting-edge alternative safety testing techniques. They should be aware of international data standards for crop protection compounds and testing (e.g., OECD) regulations. Knowledge of the EU and/or US EPA regulation process is one set of specific talents.


In the UK or Europe, the position could be performed remotely.

Your Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Being the discipline's thought leader for the business

  • Ensuring that the client's strategy and objectives are understood, and leading conversations throughout project design to fulfill regulatory requirements

  • Being totally accountable for satisfying the quality and deadline requirements for allocated tasks, high-level toxicology argumentation and interpretation, and expert specialist abilities in key areas of dossier preparation

  • Make decisions on toxicity, effects, and classification.

  • Following new scientific and regulatory advancements to assist in planning and concentrating the development of CPC Regulatory Consultancy in your area of expertise

  • Advising clients and internal divisions on important programs and strategic issue management

  • Assisting in the promotion of our company by offering the sales staff technical assistance

  • Supporting and instructing team members actively in their specialized skill areas

Education


  • BSc or higher, or equivalent industry experience (MSc, Ph.D., or additional toxicology-related qualifications preferable)
