Former president J.A Kufuor Scholarship Foundation  2023 calls for more applications



ABOUT J.A KUFFOUR SCHOLARS PROGRAM(KSP):

Former president J.A Kufuor Scholars Program known in short as  KSP is a first move under the John A. Kufuor Foundation, an autonomous and a self-standing body . The scholarship gives  a distinct three(3) years excellent leadership training to the Ghanaian youth. 


BENEFITS OF SCHOLARSHIP:

The beneficiary of this scholarship will enjoy the following benefits for good three(3) years:

This is a fully funded scholarship covering tuition, accommodation and other benefits below:

  • Scholars will enjoy webinars
  • Scholars will enjoy practical leadership internships 
  • Scholars will enjoy execution of personal projects prior to graduation leadership mentoring
  • Scholars will enjoy camps, excursions and visits, seminars
  • Scholars will enjoy  a branded personal laptop and semester stipends. 
  • Scholars will enjoy the opportunity of participating in international exchange programs .


ELIGIBILITY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP:

  • Applicants should demonstrate good leadership interest and experience in school, community or at the national level 
  • Applicants should focus on the ability to lead people, good commitment to service and integrity.
  • Applicants demonstrate orientation of nationality and capacity to promote political and  tolerance, religious, human rights and ethnic co-existence for national development.
  • Applicants should not be more than 23 years of age by the end of the application year.

  • Applicants must be a Ghanaian .
  • Applicants must be enrolled in Level 100 of any university Ghana in any academic discipline(that is any program of choice) .
  • Continuing students(that is, students  who are in level 200 and above are not eligible for this scholarship .

  • All level 100 students of any university in Ghana can apply for this scholarship.

    Moreover, KSP primarily seeks to add value to formal education at the tertiary level and produce leaders immersed  with a strong sense of patriotism; leaders who are innovative, problem solvers, creative thinkers and knowledgeable in their respective fields of study.

  • Students with good academic performance is a plus for them. 


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

All applicants are required to submit the following documents to the foundation:

  • A parental consent letter (for applicants below 18 years)
  • Academic transcript
  • A Poster Presentation with a one-page concept note and a two-minute video explaining your presentation. Your video should include a brief self introduction and a statement of an outstanding leadership role played in the past.
  • Two letters of recommendation; one from a university lecturer and another from either a community or civil society organizer or the head of a public or private agency, testifying to the candidate’s abilities and leadership potentials.
