Role: Shop Assistant
Location: Accra 

Requirements of this job

Below are the requirements of this job as a shop assistant:
  • The applicant must be an SHS graduate or higher
  • Must speak fluent English 
  • Possesses one 1 year sales experience
  • A Female is preferred 
  • An applicant must live in and around Accra (Abelekpe, Dzorwulu, Abofu, Alajo, Tesano, and its environs).


Responsibilities Associated With This Job:

The major responsibilities of the successful applicant for this job are as follows;

  • Receive and unpack new shipments from suppliers and vendors and subsequently arrange and label goods on the display shelves. 
  • Assist customers in finding the product they are looking for and process customers' payments at checkout. 
  • Address customers' complaints and inquiries and provide shopping advice and recommendations to customers.
  • Clean and rearrange the store after hours to ensure the sales floor is clean and organized at all times.
  • Perform regular price audits to identify and correct price discrepancies.
  • Perform regular stock-taking to stay abreast with stock levels at the store and to ensure the availability of stock for sales.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs, set up meetings with potential clients, and listen to their wishes and concerns. 
  • Establish new business and negotiate contracts and packages by actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
  • Work towards achieving monthly sales targets and reviewing sales performance. 
  • Communicate constantly, effectively, and efficiently with the manager.

Working Hours 

The working hours associated with this job are six(6) days a week including Sundays with 1 weekday off.

Times associated are 8am to 8pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 1pm to 8pm on Sundays.

Compensation

The compensation associated with this job is as stated below:

The salary for this position is Ghs800 to be paid every month by direct deposit or cash.

In addition to this starting salary, we are offering a 1% commission on monthly targets.
