partner team whose mission is to support our customers in their development of the African
continent?
This position is for you.
YOUR MISSION/ WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be part of the dealer team dedicated to supporting our customer fleet. You will strengthen
our current Maintenance team and will report to the Product Support Manager.
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out diagnostics on Caterpillar Construction Machines, using appropriate investigation
and information resources;
- Ensuring the repair and/or adjustments necessary for troubleshooting.
- Liaising and coordinating between the customer and the Product Support Manager.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES IN THIS JOB
- Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge and expertise to minimize downtime.
-Carry out measurements with metrology instruments, specialized tools, and computerized
measuring devices.
- Carry out functional and performance tests.
- Interrogate, parameterize and calibrate on-board electronics.
- Analyse data using modern information systems, such as electronic documentation, and
formulate a diagnosis.
- Define and implement the user's choice.
- Check the conformity of the intervention in terms of functionality and performance.
- Carry out expert assessments and start-up of equipment.
- Recording all relevant information and reports related to the activity.
- Accompany the mechanics (Tractafric members or customer employees) in their ongoing
training.
- Investigate and troubleshoot to assist operations and technical personnel in identifying and solving day-to-day reliability issues.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
- Red seal trade certification, mechanical engineering degree, or related technical diploma.
- Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of
Medium Hydraulic Excavators and Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
- Post-trade min 5 years experience working in the Heavy Earth Moving industry.
- You have worked with Caterpillar 330 to 349 equipment.
- Strong Chinese literacy, numeracy, and written and verbal communication skills.
- You know diagnostic tools (e.g. Caterpillar SIS and ET) and Windows office software.
- You are geographically mobile, available within 1-2 months, and motivated to work in Africa.
